 | | | Ray & Stacy - Kevin, Heather & Brian |
Welcome to my website and I hope you get to know and enjoy Coastal Orange County - the "California Riviera" - as much as I and my family do. We have lived in Newport Beach since 1983 except for one 2-year residence in Georgia during the early 1990's. Prior to that our first Orange County home was in Huntington Beach, also known as "Surf City USA." As you can probably guess, there is just something special about living along the coast. I've been active in Orange County’s Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure for 9 years, and participated as a Crew Leader with Habitat For Humanity-Orange County for three years. My husband, Ray, and I are active in our church volunteering for many of the children’s programs (our children are our future!), and I have served as a Deacon for six years. Our three children have participated in serving and building projects in downtown Los Angeles as well as Brazil and Guatemala. These church family experiences have enabled our children to reach out to others with their hearts as well as with their hands. We are blessed to live in an area that gives us opportunities to give back.

OUR TERRIFIC FAMILY Our oldest son, Brian, met his wonderful wife, Kristen, when she was age 2 and Brian was 3. Kristen's parents came to be the music ministers at our church. When Brian was age 4 he was overheard telling Kristen, "When I grow up I'm going to marry you." (How did he know?) Brian and Kristen grew up participating in Sunday School together, Choristers, the AWANA program, summers at Hume Lake Christian Camps, and even being baptized on the same day! When, at the age of 15, Brian told Kristen that he "liked her," he was disappointed that she only liked him "as a friend." But Brian carried the torch for Kristen for several years until they both returned home from graduating college. They rekindled their friendship, friendship turned into mutual love, and they exchanged vows the summer of 2004.
 | | | Kevin during his college years |
Our middle son, Kevin, completed his combined Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo, California). His educational journey has taken him through the rigorous and practical requirements that Cal Poly is known for; a one-year study-abroad program in London with side trips to Greece, Italy and Switzerland; an internship at LSILogic; and another internship at the University of Bremen, Germany which found Kevin co-authoring a technical paper that he presented at an international conference several months later. Kevin has launched into life with the same gusto and mischevious sense of humor he has always had. He has a great job with a well-known computer software company in Northern California. Kevin has also taken up running again (Kevin and brother, Brian, both participated in Cross Country and Track and Field during their high school years) and has participated in several 5Ks as he's working his way up to compete in 10Ks. Go Kevin!
 | | | Heather | |
Our daughter, Heather, completed her A.A. degree while working full time, and has now transitioned to part-time work while completing her bachelor's degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Heather stays very busy with her church activities and Bible study groups, college courses, and with her very successful career as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Heather has "hit the ground running" with her Mary Kay business and has experienced great success while making some wonderful new friends. Heather can be contacted at Heather at Mary Kay Cosmetics. We are proud of Heather and her hard work as she's completing her college degree AND building her very successful Mary Kay Beauty Consultant Business. Kudos!
 | | | Stacy's Annual Appreciation Event in Beautiful Bommer Canyon Regional Park in Irvine | |
STACY'S CLIENT APPRECIATION PICNIC I had the pleasure of hosting this year's Annual Appreciation Event on behalf of my past and current clients, individuals who have given me referrals, and friends at beautiful Bommer Canyon Regional Park in Irvine, California. Bommer Canyon has been privately held by the Irvine family until 2002 when it was deeded to the City of Irvine as part of its' Park system. The Irvine family used to conduct their cattle round-ups in these foothills and end each round-up with a Hoe Down at Bommer Canyon. Bommer Canyon is an idyllic location with secluded views only to the surrounding foothills and open spaces. It is a piece of natural paradise even though it is just moments away from the newer and upscale neighborhoods of Shady Canyon and Turtle Ridge in Orange County, California.

Closing or Settlement >The Settlement
The final stage of a home sale transaction is the time to tie up all the loose ends. The buyer and seller will sign the settlement sheet at the closing, detailing all of the charges that each party has incurred during the sale of the house. It is crucial to go over the sheet for accuracy and to make sure that you understand everything on it before you complete the transaction.
When a contract is negotiated, each side agrees how to divide the loan fees (or points), as well as the other closing charges, such as state or local taxes or escrow fees. Your real estate agent can go over the settlement sheet and help you compare it with your purchase agreement. The seller's charges usually include the brokerage fee, the mortgage payoff, and any charges involved in clearing the title, as well as pro-rated property taxes, payments for termite treatment and escrow for repairs that could not be completed by closing. The buyer's costs include charges for the loan and title searches, insurance and any other legal fees. A good closing officer will go over the settlement sheet line by line, explaining each item and correcting any misplaced charges.
